There are some people worth mentioning when talking about music videos. I’ll start mentioning these 3 guys.
Chris Cunningham – Born in 1970, english, made his directorial debut in 1997 with the music video for “Come to Daddy” by Aphex Twin. Also, you all know the music video from Björk, “All is Full of Love”.
Michel Gondry – Born in 1963, french, entered in an art school in Paris in the 80’s, directed 6 clips for Björk and also worked with Massive Attack, Daft Punk, The White Stripes, Foo Fighters, Chemical Brothers, Lenny Kravitz and many others… Also directed “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”.
Spike Jonze – Born in 1969, american, a skater and photographer, started as a magazine editor and contributor before moving into film. Directed memorable videos for Fatboy Slim, Björk, Beastie Boys, Daft Punk, Beck, Kanye West… Debuted in hollywood as a great director with the film: “Being John Malkovich”. Directed a hole lot of cool films later on, including “Where The Wilde Things Are”. Also director of Jackass, he’s apparently a long time friend of Johnny Knoxville.
